What you’ll need:

Putting your Father’s Day Treat Box together:

  1. Use the FunCakes cookie mix to whip up a batch of cookies! This mix is so easy – just add butter and eggs! You can also add chocolate chips (or any other filling they like) if desired! They’ll take 50-60mins to bake in a preheated oven.
  2. While your cookies are baking, melt your chocolate in the microwave (in 20 second intervals) or with a bain-marie.
  3. Add your choice of colouring to the melted chocolate – this is a great way to personalise your treats using his favourite colours! Sarah used a beautiful royal blue shade here. Just make sure you use an oil based colouring – they work best with chocolate!
  4. Add your chocolate to your moulds. You can great creative here, making a mix of small individual chocolates and even chocolate lollipops.
  5. Once you’ve filled your moulds and smoothed out the chocolate, pop them into the fridge to set.
  6. Take your cookies out of the oven after 50-60mins and leave to one side to cool.
  7. Once your chocolate has set, remove your treats from the moulds and decorate as desired! Sarah drizzled melted white chocolate across hers, and finished with a dash of sprinkles in complimentary colours!
  8. Sarah also created some cute macarons and used mini wafer cones with chocolate and sprinkles to create cute ice cream cones. So get creative and add anything you like to your box – donuts, cake pops, brownies – the sky’s the limit!
  9. Now that everything is baked, set, cooled and decorated, it’s time to add to your box! This satin finish, window-lid treat box is perfect for showing them off while keeping them safe. It arrives flat packed, so simply fold and clip together.
  10. Add a layer of marshmallows to the bottom of your box as an edible cushion, and then pop your treats in. Finish off with your acrylic topper, et voila!
